TRAVEL NOTICE: Miami 11/17 – 12/8
I’ll be in Miami from the 17th of November through the 8th of December. I also think I could be easily convinced to stay in the 80-degree weather for a bit longer! So if you have any assignments in and around South Florida, let me know! Remember that Art Basel Miami is Dec 3-6, so I’ll be down there through all the festivities.
This travel notice serves as a perfect segway to show some images from Art Basel 2008. These images were supposed to run in an unnamed publication last year. However, the “client” totally flaked out afterwards and never responded to emails, etc. I never got paid, but the lesson I learned is more valuable.
Whenever I have time, I like to lay out an edit of my photos in a magazine format – especially when the photos are really diverse. I like to think some photos play off of each other particularly well. Some photos can stand alone, some are filler, and some are the “hero” shots. If I can show a somewhat finished lay out, then it becomes clear what’s what. This is what I did for this job. Below is the layout I sent over (click on images for large goodness):
